15th ToO Elections & Poems

Hello everybody! We just got rid of some of our computers at our house! Goodbye, Windows 95!
You can check out my election platform (with snubs) on the Town of Odyssey by clicking here. What do you think? And BTW, congratulations to whoever's in Alaska! 3 cheers to you! And now, I'm going to post 2 poems I wrote. Both were school assignments. The first one was just supposed to be a short poem describing a character trait.

Always try to be humble,
No matter the situation, let humility show;
Humility wears soft slippers, tiptoes out of the spotlight,
Always be humble.

And the second one is a paraphrase from a section of the poem, The Present Crisis by James Russell Lowell.

There comes a time where all must choose between right and wrong,
In the struggle between Good and Evil, the right or the wrong side;
Jesus, our Savior, offers us either peace or misery,
Sends the believers to one side, those who oppose Him to the other,
The decision made is final, you’ve chosen eternal night or day.

Has everyone decided with who their future is,
While Evil sends his dust in our direction?
Whilst doom is still at work, God’s people still are winning.
The people are wandering, you see Right there;
Surrounded by the heavenly hosts, to protect Her from danger.

We think the Devil is just a wimp, yet the Bible records,
The Devil stands, ready to grab, all throughout history
Right is seemingly annihilated, Evil reigns for good.
However, Truth will prevail, and in the shadows,
Lurks our Creator, in the dim, looking out over His people.

So, what do you think?
